Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
