Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.

The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and finally separating with former trainer Cervara.
Presently working with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden championship since the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt since March of the previous year.

"This title is in dedication of my child her name, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, including in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's counter-punching play style and recurring emotional displays on court had led observers to question if his ability to compete at the top level was finished.
However the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and play aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to force a third set.
The opponent saved four initial chances in a competitive deciding set before the champion broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev earned victory with a point at the net, with Moutet failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
